Hanna Wolle

A native of Des Moines, Iowa, violinist Hanna Wolle has quickly established herself as a dynamic performer, chamber musician, and orchestral player in the Des Moines area.

Hanna began playing the violin at the age of four with her father, a classically-trained violist. She quickly emerged as a talented violinist, winning the Central Iowa Symphony Young Artist Competition at age ten. Hanna won a seat in the first violin section of the Des Moines Symphony at age fifteen, becoming one of the youngest violinist in the orchestra's history.

Hanna pursued her academic interests in college and graduated from the University of Iowa in 2011 with degrees in Economics and Chinese. Upon graduation, Hanna returned to Des Moines to begin her career at the Principal Financial Group and soon launched her music career. Hanna won a first violin spot with the Des Moines Symphony in April 2017, and founded a for-hire classical string quartet, Quartet 515. Through various musical engagements, Hanna enjoys maintaining an active performing career in the area.

In her free time, Hanna is an active young professional in the Des Moines community. She is a 2016 graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute, sits on the Board of Directors for the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute, and volunteers with CelebrAsian, the largest Asian heritage festival in Central Iowa. She was a finalist for the Juice Magazine 2016 YP Creative of the Year award and was a Business Record 2016 Forty Under 40 honoree. She lives in Des Moines with her cat, Margo, and enjoys practicing yoga, going to the Farmer's Market, and trying new recipes.
