Gloom Balloon

After spending years establishing himself as an icon in Des Moines while performing in a local favorite band, The Poison Control Center, musician Patrick Tape Fleming began a new journey with his high-energy, attention-grabbing recordings and performances with Gloom Balloon. Born in 2012 and still going strong today, Gloom Balloon has garnered a following that thrives in the euphoria, or dysphoria, of Fleming’s eclectic performances. As said best by Fleming himself, it’s “a sad psychedelic dance party or something like that!”
