meet the teachers
Monica Bollenbaugh
Monica graduated from Grand View University in 2012 with a BA in Music Education. Her teaching experience includes nonprofit work with Art Force Iowa, Girls Rock! Des Moines, Main Street School, and Iowa Youth Chorus. When not performing with vocal trio, Sing DMC and local band The Finesse, she enjoys snuggling with her pets, crafting and watching horror movies.
Dorothy Hecht
Dorothy studied music at Simpson College, and has studied private piano and organ for over 14 years. She currently plays and sings with the local band Dorothy Hecht and the Rubber Tramps. Dorothy loves to teach children and adults all styles of music, from classical to rock.
